According to the Overtime Procedure of Factory and General Labour Laws Inspection Department, it is hereby announced that companies which are investing under Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) and Region/State Investment Committee’s permit and endorsement shall carry out the following.
– Companies shall seek signed approval from an employee required to work overtime on a weekday (Monday to Friday) which is not to exceed 3 hours per weekday or 5 hours on a Saturday.
– For overtime on a Sunday or a Public Holiday, companies shall seek signed approval from the employee and an acknowledgement from the Workplace Coordination Committee.
– No employee may be required to work more than one Sunday in a 4 week period.
